Job Description
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part-Time Linen Tech for the Linen Service Department at Overlook Medical Center. Required hours vary, including every other weekend.
Responsible for managing in-house inventory levels in each department. Counts all linen on the carts and bring them back up to the par level before delivering them. Interfaces professionally and effectively with people at the hospital, nurses, nurse managers, clinicians, central supply, Materials Manager and the Environmental Service department.

About the Team
Atlantic Health System's Environmental Service Department ensures the cleanest and safest health care environment for all team members, patients and visitors. Environmental Services is responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of common areas, outpatient areas, procedural areas, and patient rooms, including bathrooms, furniture, carpet/hard surface floors, vents, electronics and patient equipment. The team uses sanitizing processes of the highest quality required by multiple regulatory agencies. Often referred to as 'the first line of defense against infection,' the Environmental Service Department collaborates with the Atlantic Health System Infection Prevention and Quality Departments to ensure that there is consistent alignment at all sites.

Interfaces professionally and effectively with people at the hospital, nurses, nurse managers, clinicians, central supply, Materials Manager and the Environmental Service department.
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
- Washes, dries, irons, and folds linen and uniforms as required.
- Inspects and sorts linen as it is received from laundry and records and returns rejects to laundry.
- Removes clean linen from laundry carts and places in designated areas.
- Loads carts for delivery.
- Sets up charts for housekeeping schedules, and carts daily as needed.
- Informs Environmental Services Supervisor on any damaged or missing linen from laundry.
- Delivers linens to all user locations.
- Maintains log for linen closets, documenting unused linen and reporting any apparent discrepancy between established standards and actual usage.
- Maintains linen room in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- HS Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
- To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Solid work history a must.
- Need to meet the fit testing requirement.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
- Prior experience in healthcare linen services strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a health care facility, hospital system or relevant area.
- Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
